Christmas in July!

Sorry I haven't posted much lately.  I have been swamped with Design Team work.  As you have read, the Spellbinders CHA Blog Frenzy started today (check out the link for more info!).  So I have been getting ready for that along with my regular Design Team projects!  Fun but lots of stuff to do!!

I took the time to particpate in the Ways To Use It Challenge on Splitcoast Stampers today.  It was good to stamp just for fun!  The challenge was to make a project for Christmas!  Here is my project:

Christmas-in-july
I used the Dazzling Diamond Dust technique again for this card.  I like using that technique for Christmas Cards because none of the glitter will fall off into the envelope or all over the person you sent it too.    This post is going to be short and sweet!  Be sure to particpate in the Spellbinders Blog Frenzy.  You can win some great stuff!!

Supplies Used:  Ornaments Galore by DRS Designs, Sentiment by Verve; Always Artichoke, Real Red cardstock, Neenah Solar Crest White cardstock; Crate Paper; Real Red, Versamark & Tuxedo Black ink pads, Copic Markers, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Heat Tool, Rhinestone Brads; Labels 4 Nestabilities, Classic & Scalloped Long Rectangles Nestabilties & Double Ended Tags.

Beautiful You!

Here is a card I made a few weeks back and haven't shared with you!  I used the NEW In Spades Borderabilities for the side detail

Beautiful-you-glitter-card

I just love the Borderabilities line by Spellbinders.  Remember all those punches you have purchased to do the same thing?  Well, Borderabilities take up very little space and have much more detail! There is also the added bonus of using the Borderabilities die template as a stencil, which I did for this card.  This is the In Spades Borderabilities, just released this week!  After I cut and embossed some Cardstock weight vellum, I left the die in place and used my Copic Airbrush System.  I then stamped the flower image using Versamark.  I used some Heat & Stick powder and Clearsnap Winter Frost Glitter.   I did the same around the outside edge of the Labels 4 Nestabilities die.  Then I added some ribbon and I am done!  Super easy and looks pretty good, even if I do say so myself!!

Hope you have a wonderful July 4th!!

A Color Challenge Card......

Tuesday's Color Challenge on Splitcoast was to use Kraft, Not Quite Navy & So Saffron.  Not colors I would normally put together.  I actually started this card early this morning but had a ton of distractions.

The biggest distraction was the frantic phone call from my oldest daughter.  The backpack carrying the cellphones got run over by go-karts.  WTH? Yep, both cell phones were toast.   Did you know your best option when replacing a cell phone is to purchase Go Phones?  Well, we found out.  Heaven forbid the girls go without cell phones for more than a few hours.  Now they are in debt to me - BIG TIME!!  I am thinking of all kinds of good jobs - cleaning out my van, scrubbing the kitchen/bathroom floor, etc.....  Servitude is good!!

Now back to my card -

DSC03270

I used the In Spades Pendant and In Spades Borderabilities from Spellbinders.  The new line of Pendants are available for purchase starting today!  I just love how fast and beautiful you can make a card!  The pendant is so intricate and beautiful it does all the work for you!!

Supplies Used:  Verve Stamps; In Spades Pendant & Borderabilities, Scalloped & Classic Circle Nestabilities; Kraft, So Saffron, Not Quite Navy & Whisper White cardstock; Not Quite Navy ink pad; rhinestones & Wizard

Hope you have a great day!
